Tutorial Cagnolino Portachiavi ad Uncinetto (sub. english and spanish)

hello everyone, in today’s tutorial we make this cute crochet dog I used this pattern to make a keychain because I love them, and I know you like them too but we can use this scheme for other uses for example we could make a nice bookmark adding a string of chains and a ball on the other end which represents the little dog’s ball or using only one face of this pattern, not using 2 faces like I did for this piece, using only one face we can use it as an application for baby blanket, or sweaters or caps for children, ecc. in the information box you will find links to the keychain and bookmark playlists that I have created so far this project is easy, fast and fun to do so let’s start the tutorial we need: 2 colors of your choice of cablè cotton n°5 yarn 2mm or 1,75mm crochet hook a wool needle, a scissors and a little wadding and if you want to make a keychain we will need: a key ring, a piece of chain and a pair of pliers for the tutorial I use a thicker wool yarn and a 2,5mm crochet hook Head: we make a slipknot 11ch we begin to weave from the 2nd chain from the crochet I weave in the back thread, you weave as you are used to round 1: 9sc, 5sc in the last chain in order not to make a hole in this stitch look at the trick that I show you we weave the last 2sc of the 5, taking the yarn tail as if we wanted to hide it as you see by weaving in this way the hole does not form 8sc weaving on the other side of the foundation chains after weaving 8sc there is only one stitch left to weave in the last chain we weave 4sc 1slst on the 1st sc to close the round there are 26 stitches in round 1 ch1 and turn the work we start to weave from the first stitch round 2: 3inc, 11sc, 1inc, 9sc (32) 1slst on the 1st sc to close the round we have already hidden this yarn tail so we cut it ch1 and turn the work we start to weave from the first stitch round 3: 10sc (1inc 1sc)x3 10sc (1inc 1sc)x3 (38) 1slst on the 1st sc to close the round from here on we weave in rows ch1 and we don’t turn the work we start to weave from the first stitch row 4: 1dec 6sc 1dec (8) ch1 and turn the work row 5: 1dec 4sc 1dec (6) ch1 and turn the work row 5: 6sc (6) ch1 and turn the work row 7: 1dec 2sc 1dec (4) ch1 and turn the work row 8: 4sc (4) ch1 and turn the work row 9: 2dec (2) ch1 tu secure and we cut the yarn we weave a piece like this but in the end we don’t cut the yarn Ears: we make a slipknot ch11 we start from the 2nd chain from the crochet row 1: 8sc 1dec (9) ch1 and turn the work row 2: 1dec 7sc (8) ch1 and turn the work row 3: 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, 1slst ch1 to secure and cut we weave another piece equal up to weave 1slst now let’s bring the 2 pieces together and weave a round of sc to join them we weave 1sc in each stitch except in the corners where we weave 2sc to create the curve we start from the next stitch taking the whole stitch in front and the whole stitch behind we weave 1sc check that you are working in the corresponding stitches in this way we weave a round of sc at the top of the rows we weave 1sc for each row we weave 2sc in the corner we also weave 2sc in this corner 1sc in the top of each row after completing the round we cut a long tail of yarn to make the invisible closure watch the tutorial to learn how to do the invisible closure, the images explain better than my words in this way we form an extra chain and the closure is invisible we make a hidden knot on the back and cut we make another ear like this with the dark yarn Nose: we make a slipknot ch5 and starting from the 2nd chain from the hook we weave: row 1: 1sc, 2hdc, 4sc in next stitch… 2hdc, 2sc in the next stitch we cut a long tail of yarn to make the invisible closure as we did for the ears we have woven 2 ears, the nose a part of the head I woven the head pattern again but this time I didn’t cut the yarn now let’s see how to join the pieces we combine the second piece of the head with the first we put the first piece in front in this way we sew the 2 pieces with a round of stitches as we did for the ears ch1 and 1sc with this round of stitches we also sew the ears we take an ear we place the ear between the 2 pieces of the head we insert the crochet hook in the front piece at the stitch of the ear we want to sew and in the back piece and only in the stitches where we sew the ears do we weave slst instead of sc in this way we can sew the ear with only 1 stitch in this way the ear can move or with 2 stitches in this case the ear will remain still we sew this ear with 2 stitches so another slst we weave the rest of the round by working 1sc in each stitch before completing the round we stuff with a little wadding in this way we put a little wadding just enough to make it soft and continue we also sew the 2nd ear I sewed it with only 1slst so this ear can move we complete the round in the 2 upper stitches we weave 2sc in each stitch, to create a curve we cut a long tail of yarn and make the invisible closure we sew the nose with a piece of clear yarn we insert the needle into one of the holes in the work to learn how to sew the nose and hide the threads watch the tutorial explains better than my words we make a decorative seam after sewing the nose we can also decorate the dark ear I have embroidered it like this and now we hide the threads and now with the dark yarn we embroider: the eyes, the mouth and the other ear this is the result this is the wool one we made in the tutorial, and this is the one made with thin cotton to make it a key ring, we take a key ring and a piece of chain and we combine the last chain with 1 stitch on the head this is the result in my opinion this keychain is super cute I hope you like it and you will it’s an easy, fun and quick project to do if you do this little dog I wait to see the
