Duckish, to me, is a term that means
sort of the last light of the day. The fading into evening. Twilight. It’s not dark yet but it is definitely not light out. I’m not sure where the word came from but I would imagine it came from darkish – because that’s exactly what
duckish is. It’s dark-ish. When I think of duckish, I think of summer evenings typically. Because that sort of transition into night is a little slower. Sort of takes its time. You get that really, really, pretty pink light and just the tail end of that as it gets gets into evening and the sky turns that nice, deep, dark, rich blue colour.
this guys hilarious!
dorchadas is darkness in Irish… Could be a mix of the english and irish pronunciations!
Mom always told us "Come home when it starts gettin' duckish" 🙂
Duckish is dark and Ducky is a term of endearment
That's nice… that's what I call The Glowming. It's not gloomy yet and every thing has a pink glow.
means dusk-ish.
"Duckish" to me is a term referring to the very late evening when ducks fly in to take roost for the evening. Having hunted inland waters for years, all one needed was patience to see the ducks and geese fly to find some small body of water in some marsh to rest for the night.
Which Chris is this now?
